There are two new backgrounds.
For the catalog, click the blue shirt in the glacier suit for a jade necklace.
Click the hair on the supernova suit for a red viking helmet, click it 4 times for a blue one.
Press the little button on the pink guitar for a set of mixed bracelets.
The last secret is the Woodsman Hat. Click on the top left part of the purple shield

First off, the Band is on break again. Which means if you’re a member, you can get go Backstage for a free autographed background!
Next, we finally know what game the level update is gonna be on. Aqua Grabber! On August 5th, the vessel will be grabbing many valuable gems other than pearls and venturing far deeper under the surface to face many new, unfriendly sea creatures. New divers are also needed to clean up an accidental cream soda spill.
Team Blue’s Rally will be back at the Stage on August 8th. This time, they’ll be facing Team Red!
The ‘Best Ways to Earn Coins’ Tip in the newspaper is by Happy77, who was/is a CP Mod. He says Puffle Round-Up is the best money maker. I don’t think that’s true though.
Finally, here are the answers to G’s Word Search in the newspaper. All the words are inventions of Gary’s.
The Clothing Catalog comes out this Friday. Here’s a sneak peek. It looks like a rubber-band bracelet, and checkered shoes/shirts/flags/cars for a Racing theme.

The Club Penguin Band has been taking a break from the stage at the Iceberg. They’ve been hanging out Backstage (in the VIP section of the Dock) giving out a new background, like Rockhopper! Each member will be on a random, different server Backstage. Good luck searching! I suggest looking through the populated servers first. Click on the buddy button to get the autographed background.

There’s a new room, but you must be a member to be able to go into it. Go to the Snow Forts, buy a Backstage Pass from the Booth.
Then go to the Dock and click the ‘V.I.P. Only’ sign and you will enter the room.
You can walk to the ‘Instruments 4 Sale’ box to view the Music Catalog.
Music Catalog Secrets
There is a cheat/secret in the Music Catalog, click the ‘i’ in “Music Catalog” for Red Electric Guitar.
Lastly, the new DJ Game, DJ3K, is available at the Night Club. Unfortunately, they kept everything in the sneak peek, but took my name off. 
The point of the game is to be a DJ and create a song with lots of effects using all the buttons, tapes, knobs, etc. The longer you DJ there and the better the song, the more coins you get when you exit (To exit, click the X at the upper right). This may or may not be a temporary game because of its lack of instructions, no point counter (which most CP minigames have), and the fact that all the big, DJ machinery is not there in normal Club Penguin. And it doesn’t seem to provide a ‘play your song in your igloo’ feature like we predicted.
And don’t forget to check out every room (especially the Dojo), they’re all decorated based on different music genres! And you can use the Applause button on any good bands that you see!

Ever since Club Penguin began (but not during Penguin Chat), the DJ table stood at the Night Club. CP always wanted to make it somehow more fun and interactive, but never got around to it. Until now. This Friday, with the launch of Music Jam ‘08, we’re introducing CP’s first music-making game!

Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming July Party. It looks like it has a Western/Music theme. I’m guessing it’ll arrive next Friday (along with the Music Jam @ The Iceberg). There’s gonna be even more music-themed stuff coming our way, including a new game (Check post below)!

There is also new igloo music available. To play music, have a stereo or jukebox set up in your igloo.
Also, the Night Club is being reconstructed for the upcoming New DJ Music Game! If you hover your mouse over the ‘Fragile’ box, the DJ equipment comes to life. So grab your hardhats and jackhammers and get into action!
Everything has a music theme this week. It’s pretty cool.
FEATURE #1 - New Server Selection - First off, you have to retype in all your information because your saved data for log-in was probably erased. The first thing I noticed was the orange sign that said “Please do not save password in a school or library computer” had changed. And when you log in with an already saved penguin, the penguin loads his/her clothing differently. As for the actual server selection, it groups your Suggested Servers by which you go on most and the ones your buddies are on. CP also changed it so that all the servers are grouped alphabetically and they took out the countries. That’s not something I like the best. We might have to do another server swap from Flippers. I’ll think about it once things settle down. But for now, I’m still going on Flippers as much as possible.
FEATURE #2 - Penguin Mail - The most obvious one to get to next, of course! It’s located on the upper left of the screen when you log in. P-Mail allows you to save, delete, or reply to postcards sent to you by your buddies. You can also send postcards to your buddies even if they’re not online. The envelope on the top left also displays a number for the amount of unread postcards. If the envelope has a smiley face, it’s a buddy request. And the layout that displays all the postcards you can send has now changed. I would definitely rather have it so that you can send postcards to any penguin you want, online or offline, just as long as they don’t have a full mailbox. I’ve only gotten around 5 postcards total so far.
Also, there’s a free item you can get. Go to the very first postcard you have. Click on the blue bag. You will get a Blue Messenger Bag that you can wear! Penguins created after the update do not get the bag.
FEATURE #3 - Playercard Sort - To begin with, CP made it so that ALL your items are now in one tab, not two. They used to group it so that your clothing items and medals would be in one tab. And your colors, pins, and backgrounds in another. I liked the old method better. However, it is easier to find clothing items using the new format by just using the Playercard Sort to just jump to your type of item.
FEATURE #4 - Igloo Background - This is one of the updates that I like with no drawbacks whatsoever. The igloo is given a nice, foresty background rather than the blank, bland, and white background even members had to have. The forest goes away in Edit Mode. And the ‘Done’ icon has been replaced with a ‘Save Igloo’ disk icon.
OTHER NEW FEATURES
FEATURE #5 - Member Igloos Map - When you click on the Members Igloos on the Map, it expands to the map below. Displaying all the igloos available and their owners’ names when you hover your mouse over one. Unlike before, there is probably a maximum number of igloos per server. Update: CP has announced they will make it so you can view the members igloos in a list too if you want to. It’ll be available in the future.
FEATURE #6 - Spyphone - The spyphone is now located in your bottom left, if you’re a secret agent. It allows you to teleport, play with the Tools, and Visit the HQ, just like in a mission.
FEATURE #7 - Green Puffle - The Green Puffle has left the Night Club and is now playing around in the Ice Rink. And with the Green Puffle constantly playing with the puck, no one can play Hockey! I wonder why they did this? Update: CP has announced that this feature will be temporary. The rink will be back to normal, so enjoy the Puffle while he’s here. You will be able to play Hockey once again in the future.
FEATURE #8 - Buddy Log-In - If a buddy logs into the server you’re in when you’re in Club Penguin, a dialog box will pop out of the Buddy button in your toolbar that says “[Buddy's Name here] is online”
FEATURE #9 - Puffle Mail - It looks like your puffle can send you mail too. And when you adopt a puffle, they send you a postcard. In the pic below, Watex is my puffle’s name.

In the DS Game, you’ll be part of the Elite Penguin Force and solve mysteries that even secret agents don’t even know about. You’ll also be able to play your favorite minigames and upload your coins and other rewards into your Club Penguin account. The game is expected to be ready by the holiday season.

A new game is headed our way in Club Penguin for the end of the month. Billybob said it’ll be a game you’ll like, “especially if you’re into music.” Here is the concept art sneak peek. It looks like a penguin flipper moving the disc that DJ’s usually spin. Maybe it’s in the Night Club!

“Squidzoid vs. Shadow Guy & Gamma Gal” has returned to the Stage. The scenery is almost the same except for the new version of Squidzoid, which looks much cooler than the old one, a new script, and a different advertisement on the billboard.
There are no secrets in the Costume Trunk Catalog.
However, there is a brand, new background for nonmembers in the catalog.

I’ll start with the most recent
Penguin Mail is almost ready to launch and might even be here early next week. The ‘mailbox’, which will be accessible through clicking the top left of your screen, will allow you to send, ignore, save, and delete postcards to your buddies, even when they’re not online. If you get a postcard when you’re online, P-Mail will let you know.

Clothing Catalog Secrets
Here are the secrets of the clothing catalog located in the Gift Shop.
There are 4 “new” backgrounds, three of which are old ones that have returned.
Click on the Belt Buckle for the Red Viking Helmet
Close and open the Red Viking Helm 4 times for the Blue Viking Helmet
Click on the Diver’s Belt Gauge for the Diver’s Helmet
Click on the upper left section of the Green Tabard for the Woodsman’s Hat
Click on the hat streamer of the Princess’s hat for the Crystal Staff
Click on the Green Rubber Boots for the Cheesy Necktie
The Club Penguin Team has produced a much better for the upcoming playercard feature. It’s default layout shows all the items, which will be convenient and easy for those without heap-loads of clothing.
As for the members with tons of clothing, you can jump right to the particular type of item you’re looking for with this new feature. This new feature will include the ‘clear outfit’ button so you can start all over on your penguin’s clothing style.
There are 2 new features coming soon, announced from the CPIP Blog.
First, is the upcoming buddy server log-in feature on Club Penguin announced before. Here is what it’ll look like. You will still be able to revert back to the original style if you don’t like this.
And next is the New Igloo Update. Rather than having a blank, white background to your igloo, you will have a scenic background!

Sports Catalog Secrets
The first cheat is found by clicking on the soccer ball. You will get cleats! They also have a football in the catalog
For the silver surfboard, click on the Flame surfboard that the green penguin is holding then on the star and the Seashell

This catalog was awesome! You can use the soccer ball for a special dance. The soccer ball looks like your moon walking!

Introduction
1) Talk to G in the HQ. I suggest choosing the top option each time.
2) G will tell you to investigate recent tremors around the island, Go to the Dock.
3) Herbert and Klutzy will appear in a drill type machine, after the conversation, Herbert will drop the Map to the tunnels, Klutzy will try to grab it, but will cut it in half.
Following the Map
-Part 1
1) Follow the 2 pieces of the map into the Town.
2) One piece will fly on the Night Club sign and the other piece will continue floating.
3) Go into the Coffee Shop and offer the clerk to help pick up some cookies.
4) Once you’ve picked up the cookies, ask the clerk if you can have one.
5) Go back outside, and use the Cookie on the Green Puffle. The Green Puffle will try to get the piece of paper on the nightclub but is unable too.
6) Go back to the Gadget Room (in the HQ) and behind G on the hat rack, pick up the beige hat.
7) Go back to Town and into the Coffee Shop and ask for another cookie.
8. Go back outside to the Town, put the hat on the puffle, then feed it the cookie, the map piece will fall to the ground, pick it up.-Part 2
1) Go to the Snow Forts and follow the other half of the map.
2) The piece will almost get stuck to the flag in the Snow Forts, but will fly to the Plaza.
3) Go into the Plaza, the map will float into the newspaper, ask the penguin for the newspaper, he will decline and say he’s hungry for pizza.
4) Go into the Pizza Parlor and ask the cashier for some pizza.
5) Go back outside to the Plaza and give the pizza to the penguin, and in return ask for the newspaper, take the extra half of the map off of the newspaper and put it in your inventory.
Rescuing the Gift Shop
Now that you have your tunnel map, you need to gather the following materials: Hammer, Net, Cream Soda Barrel, Balloons, Nails, Lantern, and an Air Tank.
-Hammer
1) Go to the Gadget Room, and left of the shelf with a bunch of Gadgets, hung onto the wall, should be a hammer, grab it.-Helium Tank
2) Click on the Helium Tank. (left of the exit to the Gadget Room) It says you need G’s permission.
3) Ask G if you can use the Helium Tank.-Net
4) Go to the Beach and grab the net from the pile next to the Lighthouse-Cream Soda Barrel
5) Go into the Lighthouse and go over to the penguin pushing the barrels, ask him for one, and put it in your inventory (If you can’t get one, try clicking a barrel). DO NOT SHAKE IT YET!
-Balloons
6) While in the Lighthouse, ask the penguin on the stage for the box of balloons.-Nails
7) Go into the Sports Shop, and grab the box of nails sitting on the floor near the door.-Lantern
8. Go to the Dock.
9) Pick up the Lantern next to the hole in the ground.
Rescuing the Gift Shop (Cont.)
1) Go back to the Dock and enter the hole in the ground. Now put the two pieces of the map together.
2) Using the map, follow what it says, Right is the Right Tunnel and Left is the Left Tunnel. This is different for everyone. Once it gets dark, turn on your Lantern.
3) You should end up at the front of what appears to be the Gift Shop. Now you have to act fast on this. Seriously, be quick.
4) First, fill one of the balloons up with the helium tank, and store it in your inventory.
5) Then, take out your Cream Soda Barrel, and shake it some, and put it under the Gift Shop. If it says it’s not enough, shake it a little more until it works. Just don’t shake it too much (it’ll explode).
6) Once it blasts up the Gift Shop, use your Map and quickly head to the Town!
7) Take out your balloon and use it on the Gift shop, it should rise.
8. Take out your net, and place it between the ground and the bottom of the Gift shop. Try clicking multiple times really fast if it doesn’t work. Just be fast.
9) Grab your box of nails and use them on the net, they should go to all four corners of the net.
10) Use your hammer on the net and it should hammer in the nails. The Gift Shop will fall back into place.
Catching Herbert & Klutzy
1) Head back to the Gadget Room and talk to G.
2) He will tell you that you need to find Herbert and Klutzy.
3) Go to the Dock and into the hole.
4) Use the same directions as you used last time (on your tunnel map), go back to where the gift shop was.
5) There should be a new tunnel entrance. Go into it.
Optional Steps (For a Gift at End)
1) To get the gift, take out your Spy Phone, press Tools, and take out your Wrench.
2) Use the wrench on the open section of the drill machine to pull out the screws. You should then see a Gear, take it.
6) You should see a hole and what appears to be the inside of the Boiler Room, go inside.
7) Herbert will be trying to mess up the Boiler. Click on him to talk to him.
8. Herbert will get angry and hit the pipes connected to the Boiler.
9) You will get a call from G telling you to fix the Boiler ASAP.
10) Click on the Boiler to begin fixing.
11) DON’T WORRY! It’s easier than it looks. Select one part and then select another part to swap them. You do not have to use all of the pipes! Just enough to connect the pipe at the top left hand corner with the pipe at the bottom right hand corner.
12) Once you have connected the pipes, you’ll get a call from G, he wants to meet you in the HQ.
13) Go back to the HQ and turn right until you see him. Talk to the G. Then give him the Gear. You will then finish the mission.
14) Congrats! You’ve finished the mission! Get the medal and gift.
And check out the Cool Cooler in your inventory.

For the past couple days Klutzy (Herberts Crab) has been appearing in the pool and the mine (only during the party)
Klutzy the Crab appeared at the Pool every time the clock is: o’clock and :30 minutes, and he appears at the Mines every :15 and :45 minutes. This is all based on the PST time so use the Clock at the Snow Forts. Maybe he might try to break the glass again? Either way, he’s up to something…
So, for example, Klutzy will appear at:

Click on the code hidden on Klutzy’s picture for the Secret Message from PSA.
The first secret message says “To unlock this file, turn all puffles red.”
Once you do that, a second, already decoded message appears, as follows.
In other news, if you check page B4 and B5 in the newspaper, there are some very interesting pictures. You see RH’s ship returning, an Aqua Grabber pic (probably a new addition to the game), an old play returning, a Penguin Mail pic, and a Red vs. Blue pic. There are more but those are the important ones.
And for the last two newspapers, if you hovered your cursor over the word GAMES, no bubble would appear. Finally, a bubble appears! From the looks of it, it looks like an upcoming hard, multiplayer game (Yay!) and an upgrade(s) to Aqua Grabber and possibly something else.

The mission will be released early next week. And Billybob said there will be more info coming to agents real soon. And Rockhopper is coming back to Club Penguin! He will arrive at the end of the month.
